The tradition continues! We are excited to announce that the Christmas Hamper Project will continue again this year! You too can help make Christmas special for those in need. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The community of Centretown Ottawa is experiencing unprecedented levels of homelessness, families who are unable to put a basic meal on the table, and most disturbing, an erosion of hope. We, as a community can make a difference. By coming together we can deliver smiles, joy and show people they are loved.<\/span><\/p>

Please consider giving in any way you are able, every gift matters and all contributions are channeled directly to those in need.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Important Dates<\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>

Adopter Hamper drop-off at Centretown United Church \u2013 between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm on Thursday, 18 December, 2025<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Volunteer drivers distribute hampers to those in need \u2013 Saturday, 20 December, 2025<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Volunteer Drivers<\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>

You will be advised your window of time to be at the church to pick up the hampers on Saturday, 20 December.<\/span><\/p>

To access the church parking lot, please turn right into the laneway under the apartment building beside the church on Argyle Street, 30 metres from Bank Street (Argyle is one way from Bank Street to O’Connor).<\/span><\/p>

There will be a registration station inside and volunteer drivers will be informed of their allotted hampers and provided instructions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Please be patient! Occasionally the logistics get mixed up. We are all doing the best we can and together we\u2019ll figure it out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Donations<\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>

Do you have a crazy schedule and can\u2019t spare the time?\u00a0 We gladly accept donations<\/strong>! Please send a cheque made out to “Centretown United Church”<\/strong>, 507 Bank Street, Ottawa, K2P 1Z5 indicating it is for the “Christmas Hampers Project”. You can also donate online<\/strong> by hitting the “Donate Now” button<\/strong> and selecting the “Christmas Hampers Project” in the drop-down menu.<\/span><\/p>

(If donations are so generous that we receive additional funds, they will be shared with the Centretown Emergency Food Centre and Centre 507 to assist recipients, who struggle to make ends meet throughout the entire year.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
